Puppy Dog Tails

I chose that title because Ryan has taken a liking to Joey's tail and if he has the chance it's in his hands, much to Joey's dismay. Ryan has also decided lying his head on Joey is fun and she can't figure out what his deal is! It's all cute from my point of view, but it's not my tail being grabbed!
Paul and I have had a rough few weeks. Our loss, an unexpected death in the family and the nations financial craziness that affects Paul at work. . . it all has had an impact. So, I am going to take this oppotunity to tell those that are in my life, even if you're across the country (Linda & Susan) that I love you and have been so blessed that you're in my life. Consider yourself hugged.
Love, Krista

We needed a good laugh

Too bad it was at Ryan's expense. He tried sitting on the edge of the dog toy basket and leaned back a bit too far. After his initial shock and squeal to get help, he laughed too.

We're sad

Paul and I thought for a little while there that we were going to bring a sibling into the world for Ryan. For reasons we'll never know we lost the baby due to miscarriage. It's been an incredible roller coaster of emotions from the moment we thought we were pregnant until now as we deal with the physical and emotional after effects. For my sisters: I could not have gone through this without your support. I hope you two know how much you mean to me. And for our friends who have been by our sides, thank you. Thank you for just being there.

Another great weekend in Eastern Washington, spent with Rob, Lindsay & Alec. The boys wore themselves out playing and exploring the new area. On Saturday we drove to Red Top Mountain and enjoyed a picnic lunch and some great views.

The new baby gate

We were having some plumbing work done for our tub drain so we needed to keep our pocket door open in order to hear Mario the plumber if he needed help. We also needed to keep Ryan away from the hole in the floor going to the house crawl space. He hates the vacuum. . . so. . instant baby gate!Ryan and I were graciously invited to a friends one year birthday celebration in a wonderful little park, called Turtle Park I believe. These are pictures from there.
Pointing at the airplane:
Ready, set, GO!
Weeeeeeee!!!!After the party we stopped off at Juanita Park to see if we could see some turtles and wanted to check out the bench dedicated to my Granddad, who died a few months ago.

0630 - this is how I look in the early morn...

Still looking quite tired, but awake enough to play with the basket of dog toys. Which of course is way more fun than his own toy filled toy box.
