Antics

Kathryn
Knowing she was in the bathroom and starting to wonder a) what was taking her so long & b) why she was so quiet, I go investigate. I find her with wet hair, standing on a stool in front of the potty. Kathryn: sorry mama, I got wet Me: How did you get wet? Kathryn: I put my head in the potty Me: Whyyyyyyyyyyyy???? Kathryn: Cause. Me: good gracious girl - get in the shower

Learned the lesson not to leave K in her room for her "nap" with a spray bottle full of water. (used for her hair) Her bed is wet, her play cupcakes are wet, her potato head is wet and she was "cutting giraffe's hair" with the spray bottle and her comb when I walked in and found her. Oh that child. .

We have a kitty named Demeter. Demeter will be 10 this summer. Demeter has a tolerance level of about 2 on a scale of 1 - 10 for the kids. Kathryn loves Demeter. One day while Kathryn was talking to Demeter (who we call Meter Meter for short) she was trying to say kitty kitty or meter meter and it came out Keter Keter! Now Miss Demeter kitty has a new nickname: Keter Keter.
Ryan
While playing at a local park, I am chatting with another Mom who's kids are also 2 years apart. Ryan interjects with, "Hi, I'm Ryan. I don't have any problems, unless my sister bites me". HA!

Ryan and his Dad are having a conversation about going on boat and how big the waves will be. They were watching a YouTube video about big waves crashing over an aircraft carrier. Ryan asks his Dad, "Are the waves going to be that big?" Dad replies, "No they will be one foot high, max". Ryan: "I'm not Max!"
Sibling Antics
"Hey, let's play smack in the face!""OK!"Somehow Ryan and Kathryn came up with this idea to take big couch pillows and run towards each other "smacking" into one another with the pillows. They yell, "SMACK" and bounce off each other, landing on the ground. Usually, within one or two "SMACKS" someone is crying. Yet, it's a game they play over and over:-)
