Yikes!

I am so very happy I did not have Paul take a belly picture until now - because if I could see myself on a daily basis, how I see myself in this photo, I would be too scared to go out in public! Ok, I am exaggerating a tad, but I did not realize I looked as big nor as tired as I look in this photo! For fun I put a belly picture from two years ago (taken 7-19-07) when I was pregnant with Ryan. Same tank top. Look at how it sits on my lower abdomen, I am so much bigger this time! Rumor is (via ultrasound) that baby is already 8 lbs 4 oz. Ryan was 6 lbs 6 oz at birth... so yea... a bit bigger this time!
Yet again I could not resist another sleeping photo. Taken last night - it was so hot in his room! Paul's proud of Ryan's double handed drinking technique! In other news.... Paul still struggles with being unemployed. He has been asked to a few interviews and that is better than nothing like it was the first 4 months. One job came down to him and one other guy - the other guy got it because he needed minimal to no training. The lady that interviewed Paul called after the fact and said she was pulling for him, but got over ruled by her boss, who didn't meet either candidate. He has passed the 6 month anniversary of getting laid off. Keep your fingers crossed he can get his unemployment benefits extended, they expire in 2 weeks.
Other than that, we wait to see if a little baby boy or girl will join our family. We enjoy Ryan daily as he learns new things at an astounding pace. 8 more days and he'll be two years old! He talks non-stop, frequently about his new favorite thing, any moving vehicle. "Bus!" "Fire Truck!" "Garbage Truck!" Said repeatedly until we acknowledge that we saw it too. I love every second of it!

The 4th, etc.

I am going to have to figure out how to change my blog name before or soon after baby # 2 arrives. If I don't, I am betting I will have a lot of explaining to do in the future when baby # 2 understands what Celebrating Ryan really means.
Here are a few more pictures of recent days. In the first posted picture, Ryan looks like such a little man, no more my toddler!
This one was taken at Oak Harbor City Beach Lagoon. Paul grew up playing here, it will be fun to bring Ryan as he grows. Ryan is mesmerized by the carnival going on in the field behind the Lagoon.
Four generations of our family. My Mom, my Grandma, Ryan and I. Taken at the annual 4th of July celebration we go to. Fun times!
Another funny sleep position. On this night I think I heard him fall out of bed, but heard nothing after that. When I checked on him, I got a good giggle out of it.
