My kids are growing up!

60 degrees, but these two didn't care.  

This is an area where fresh water meets salt water, a very shallow river. Both swam all the way across multiple times.

 Heavy marine layer and cold, but they didn't care!

Look hard, they are running to the waves!

Happy 11th Birthday Ryan!

Ryan's requested birthday treat this year

Small piece of heaven right there.  

Two little people down the field are Ryan and his 2nd cousin, Ledger

This year, while staying with my Aunt and Uncle, they had their grand-kids there as well.

Olivia is 15, Isabelle - 11, Ledger - 9

Both kids instantly connected with Isabelle and Ledger.  Olivia, a very nice teenager, gave Kathryn her hat at the end of the boating day.  One happy kid.

 Ahhhhhh......  pool, view and no plans

 A slip n slide of epic proportions!

The kids would get up to a speed that kept them sliding down well past the slide, down the hill.

What more could one want?

Apparently it is free Slurpee day at 7-11 on 7-11!

I was unaware of this phenomenon. 

 And frankly not a big fan of the super sweet frozen concoction.    

In this case: 

1) free

2) they probably asked 100 times if they could get one

3) 7-11 is 5 blocks away

4) it was super hot that day

5) the real reason I said yes:   I feared combined mutiny from those two kids!  😉

(and I was able to coerce them in to getting a super cute picture)
