June: the month that gets us all excited for sun and warmth. Ryan is
super excited to spend 11 days in Oak Harbor with his Grandma, Papa,
Aunt Bobbi Ann & cousins Kimberly and Ruby. He will hang out
there, take swim lessons and I am sure be spoiled rotten. I have
moved my work schedule around so I can be there with him 5 of those 11
days. I am looking forward to his adventure because I know he will have
fun and it will separate the oil (Ryan) and water (Kathryn) I have
living here. There are times when they get along wonderfully. But when
the happiness dam breaks, it's ugly. And tiring. My ability to
respond rationally and thoughtfully slips away. A break will be good.
1st shower cap in the shower experience. She thought it was pretty awesome.
Ryan caught a frog!
The squealing and celebrating that followed was comical.
Little froggy was released back to its home
Gasworks Park, for Honk Fest. Totally fun celebration of West Coast street bands.
I think this is her 3rd fat lip in her little life. Love her dramatic look.
I did not witness the actual fall. What I think happened is she was being squirrely on our recliner and fell face first onto the wood floor. It grew to a nice shade of purple the next day.
There is something so satisfying about wearing your child out.
With our neighbor, Cooper.
Ryan's new bike. Hand me down compliments of our friends, Lindsay, Rob & Alec.
Ryan was so excited to have it, he wanted to eat his dinner on it the day he got it.
Kathryn has been awarded the balance bike since Ryan has moved on to the peddle bike.
She looks quite confident there, but needs to work on her self-belief that she can do it!
